PACERS FOR THE 1/2 MARATHON: Available to pace those running for a target pace of 8 to 12:30 minutes/ mile, with 2 pacers every 30 seconds. They will be very visible and will also have signs the first 4 miles of the race. They will also help to "organize" our start line, as runners will be able to lineup by their desired pace.
Every pacer is an experienced runner who has completed at least several long races at a pace that is at least 1 1/2 minutes faster then what they will be pacing at Park2Park. Over half of them have paced races before. They are available to help runners maintain their pace through encouragement and support, and are also there to answer any questions runners may have about distance running. They will be in contact with "race central" so any problems can be addressed immediately.
